Leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday condemned the bomb blast near an ANP rally which killed four persons in Quetta. They also condemned the killing of seven coal miners elsewhere in Balochistan.
PTI's Chairman Imran Khan, President Javed Hashmi, Secretary-General Dr Arif Alvi, Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
PTI's Central Information Secretary Shafqat Mahmood said that the security situation in the restive province was a matter of grave national concern and it seemed that the people of the province had been left at the mercy of terrorists.
Criticising the provincial government for its failure to contain terrorism, he said that the law and order situation in the province had deteriorated to a dangerous level, but the government had not taken any concrete steps to ensure security of the people.
"The federal and provincial governments are responsible for the criminal negligence for not ensuring protection to people's lives." The PTI warned the government that its inaction on violence in Balochistan could result in serious repercussions.
