KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani on Thursday said that Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is in contact with concerned departments and facilities would be provided for processions in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).
"I will be monitoring all arrangements myself and all stakeholders would be taken on board," the Administrator passed these remarks while talking to delegations of Ahle Sunnat Rabita Council and Dawat-e-Islami at his office here.
Dawat-e-Islami delegation was led by Muhammad Yaqoob Attari while coordinator Muhammad Hanif, Owais Raza Attari and Imran Attari were also present on the occasion. The delegation discussed matter relating to arrangements of Rabiul Awwal's processions and requested the Administrator to complete the arrangements at the earliest.
They said that a large number of people will attend gatherings in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) from 24th Safar to 13th Rabiul Awwal, requesting Shallwani to carry out road renovation, installation of lights and other works around mosques and gathering places.
The delegation asked the Administrator to renovate the roads, where necessary, on the route of main procession to be carried out on 12th Rabiul Awwal. They also requested that the road around Jama Masjid Kanzul Eiman and Green Town, Shah Faisal may be completed at the earliest.
