Pakistan Customs Authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs worth millions of rupees.
The raid was carried out by the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta near Noshki, the authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle ICE/Crystal Meth out of Pakistan and seized 8.8 kg of ICE, and 5.040 kg of Brown Sugar valued Rs. 50 million.
“This unprecedented seizure of ICE by Customs Collectorate Quetta shows its commitment towards vision of prime Minister to eradicate smuggling of narcotics within and through Pakistan,” said the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in a statement.
Furthermore, in other activities, Pakistan Customs carried out a raid on godown in Karachi situated in an industrial area near Moachku. The customs seized 30,000 kg of smuggled betel nuts. The market value of seized goods are Rs.30 million.
