LAHORE: Inaugurating the five new initiatives of providing quality food to the citizens, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Friday that drive against the adulteration mafia and those selling substandard food items will remain continue and no one will be allowed to play with human health.
The CM inaugurated motorway squad and new operational team bike squad, provision of lacto scan machines, free milk testing and body cam surveillance system. The CM also inspected lacto scan machine, body cam, mobile milk testing laboratory and motorcycles of bike squad.
Addressing on the occasion, Usman Buzdar said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, modern lacto scan machines have been provided in 36 districts of the province for ensuring quality milk to the people. In order to ensure adulteration-free quality food to the people, free milk testing has been started throughout the province, he said.
Moreover in a high level meeting held under the chair of CM, it was decided to fix the minimum price of sugarcane at Rs 200 per maund. The meeting also gave in-principle approval to start crushing season in Southern Punjab districts from November 10 and crushing season will start from November 15 in rest of the districts.
