Pakistan on Saturday won the three-match Physical Handicapped Cricket series against Afghanistan by 2-0 here at Shalimar Cricket Ground. Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 9 wickets. Put into bat, a weak Afghanistan team scored 75 runs in 19.2 overs losing all wickets.
Nabi Sahal made 35 runs with the help of six fours and Ghulam Hazrat scored 15 runs including two 4s. For Pakistan, Altaf grabbed three wickets against 10 runs while Faiz and Kashif bagged two wickets each.
Needing a meagre target of 76 runs for victory Pakistan reached home in 8.1 overs for the loss of just one wicket.
Adeel scored 38 runs, including seven 4s, Junaid and Aftab batted well at 30 and 4 runs, respectively. For Afghanistan, Asghar grabbed the only wicket giving 17 runs.
At the closing ceremony Salim Rafiq, director general (operation), NADRA, who was the chief guest at the occasion, distributed prizes among the winners. Altaf of Pakistan was declared Man-of-the-Match.
