Condemning India's atrocities in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) former Afghan prime minister and leader of Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has urged India to resolve the issue as per the will of the Kashmiri people.
Speaking at the Institute of Policy Studies in Islamabad, Hekmatyar said New Delhi should learn a lesson from the defeat of the Soviet Union and NATO in Afghanistan, which proves force alone cannot resolve any issue.
He added that the Kashmir issue cannot be resolved by force and India should resolve it as per the will of the Kashmiri people.
The former Afghan PM is on a three-day visit to Pakistan that will conclude today. During his visit, he met PM Imran Khan, where the two discussed matters related to Afghan Peace Process and Pak-Afghan fraternal relations.
