A senior reporter at Geo News Ali Imran has reached home after reportedly gone missing in Karachi on Friday evening.
After reaching his mother's home in the city, he established contact with his wife over the phone. He has returned safely and has not been physically harmed, he reportedly told her, according to the media outlet.
As per his wife, Imran left his home between 7pm and 8pm to go to a nearby bakery on foot, telling his family he would shortly return home. He did not return home since then. His wife further said saying that Imran's car was parked outside the house and he had left his mobile phone at home.
When he did not return, the family submitted a report to Sachal police station. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and has talked to the IG, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said.
Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said that he sincerely hoped and prayed that Imran would reunite with his family and friends soon.
