LAHORE: The Lahore High Court sought a report from the federal government within a week in a petition challenging government slogan “corona say larna hay darna nahe”.
The petitioner, a bar member, contended that the slogan in question is illegal and against the law. The court asked why the matter was not sent to the cabinet for review. The law officer pleaded before the court that the recommendations of Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) were pending for review before the cabinet. The court asked why the matter is being delayed and directed the secretary religious affairs to submit his report within a week.
