PM arrives in Gilgit-Baltistan

(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday (today) to attend the National Day celebrations of the region, Radio Pakistan reported.

As per details, the prime minister will visit Astore National Park. He will also visit Diamer-Bhasha Dam and review the ongoing work there.

PM Imran will also address a ceremony during his visit to be attended by the Governor Gilgit-Baltistan and interim chief minister of the region

Earlier, the caretaker chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Mir Afzal Khan, announced that the elections for the legislative assembly will be organized on November 15.

Afzal Khan said in a statement that all preparations for the organization of polls for GB Legislative Assembly were completed and the authorities will ensure measures to hold a transparent election.
