KARACHI: Sindh Provincial Road Improvement Project Management Unit (PMU) Project (SPRIP) Works & Services Department Sindh to undertake two-week preparation of Sindh Road Network Master Plan including institutional strengthening and training in Sindh province will start from November 3 to November 19 at Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi respectively in collaboration with the M/S Engineering Consultants International Private Limited (ECIL).

As per the TORs, M/S ECIL has started the institutional strengthening training programme held for the officers and officials of the SPRIP, Works & Services Department Sindh.

The courses are orchestrated to enhance the institutional capacity of engineers and keeping in view the advanced techniques and requirements in engineering field the international level orators are arranged to deliver lectures.

The courses/training will be imparted to the engineers and staff of SPRIP included Project Evaluation using HDM-4 and integration with RAMS, Hands on training on HDM-04, Project Safeguarding (Environment, Resettlement and Social), Road safety awareness & workshop, road asset management systems-introduction to the concept and application in WSD, Project Base Contracts/ Management Agency Contracts, Road Maintenance Techniques by experts, ex-Chief engineers.

The Project Director SPRIP Mushtaq Ahmed Memon, Secretary Works and Services Imran Atta Soomro, Ex-Chief Engineer, experts will also deliver their lectures during the training sessions.-PR
