KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi on Wednesday discussed the city's issues on poor civic and transportation with Chief Minister Sindh. A six-member delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) led by Karachi ameer, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman at a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister (CM), Syed Murad Ali Shah in his office discussed issues pertaining to initiate afresh population census in Karachi and quashment of Local Body Act.
Hafiz Naeem presented a memorandum on issues of Karachi to CM and he also requested him to put these issues in Council of Common Interest meeting being held on November in order to attain a positive solution.
Murad Ali Shah during talks ensured the JI delegation of a positive approach in this direction and moreover, he informed that the CCI meeting would also converse on matter concerning entrusting of powers to city government.
