KARACHI: America Pakistan Business Development Forum (AMPAK-BDF) on Wednesday hosted a dinner reception in honor of Nasir Saleem - a Pakistani American auxiliary deputy chief New York City Police Department (NYPD) for proudly representing Pakistan in United States of America (USA), here at a local hotel.
Nasir Saleem has been appointed as NYPD auxiliary deputy chief in recognition to his decades-long voluntary services in NYPD earlier this year. His achievement has largely been regarded in US and beyond. Saleem is also the first Muslim to lead on the front [as the auxiliary deputy chief] around 5000 strong forces in NY city neighborhoods as auxiliary of the regular police.
Addressing the dinner reception, Saleem said that it was an honor for him as Pakistani that his adopted country has acknowledged his decades-long services, with appointing him on a key post in the NY police department. “I have dedicated my title to my motherland - Pakistan.”
“The nation must feel proud. Now it’s up to the Pakistan as to how it is going cash my achievements on international fronts,” Saleem said this apparently in context with strengthening bilateral relations with the US.
Saleem also paid thanks to AMPAK-BDF for giving him respect and honoring his services.
