LAHORE: The city police said on Monday to have arrested four sons of notorious land grabber Malik Mansha alias Mansha Bomb and seized latest weapons from their possession. Sadar Division Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dr Muhammad Hafeez-ur-Rehman while speaking to reporters on Monday said that though the main suspect, Malik Mansha, evaded arrest but they have taken into custody his four sons, identified as Amir, Asim, Tariq and Faisal Mansha.
"All the four suspects have been sent behind bars after registration of an FIR against them," the SP said, adding that police have also seized latest weapons from their possession including automatic guns and pistols. He said that Mansha Bomb and his sons were wanted to police in 77 different cases of murders, attempted murders, land grabbing, extortion and terrorism.
The senior police officer further said that they had been receiving frequent complaints from citizens that Mansha Bomb and his sons were giving them life threats and allegedly grabbing their lands. "This action was taken by police on the special instruction of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umer Sheikh," he added.
According to the information, the police sprung into action when Malik Mansha along with his four sons and some unidentified men laced with weapons allegedly opened fire on a citizen in Township area on Sunday night. Police said that raids are being conducted to apprehend Malik Mansha.
