Energy situation steadily improving: Prime Minister

A meeting of some federal ministers and the PPP senior leadership was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday night at the Presidency with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the chair.
The dinner meeting was attended among others by Faryal Talpur, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Rana Muhammad Farooq Saeed Khan, Syed Naveed Qamar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Dr A. Rehman Malik, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Chaudhry Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, Senator Jahangir Badar, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, Senator Farhatullah Babar, Ms. Rukhsana Bangash and Ms. Fouzia Habib.
Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar said that over all political situation was discussed during the meeting. The Prime Minister briefed the meeting on the current energy situation and the measures taken to address the power crisis. He said the energy situation was steadily improving and the government was taking all possible steps to address the issue on a priority basis.
The Prime Minister also briefed the meeting about his visit to Saudi Arabia and his meetings with the Saudi leadership, entrepreneurs and members of Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia. Rehman Malik, advisor to Prime minister on interior, briefed the meeting on overall law and order situation in the country and the steps afoot to maintain peace and security.-PR
