After the establishment of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all the 36 districts of the province of Punjab, Rescue 1122 is all set to be functional at tehsil levels across the province under its expansion project. Training of as many as 566 newly recruited rescuers has been started at the Punjab Emergency Services Academy, Ferozepur Road.
The trained rescuers will be posted in tehsils Ahmadpur East, Chichawatni, Gujar Khan, Jaranwala, Kabirwala, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Kharian, Mian Channu, Muridke, Pattoki and Sadiqabad. The recruitment of the rescuers was made by the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) under the expansion project, a spokesman of Rescue 1122 said.
