Wapda urged to resolve problem of loadshedding

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science & Information Technology (S&IT), Mohammad Ayub Khan has directed the concerned officials of Wapda for resolution of the problems of unscheduled load shedding and low-voltage in the holy month of Ramazan in the province to provide relief to the people during Sehri and Iftar.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation from his electoral constituency on Tuesday. The provincial minister said that in past criminal negligence was committed in the preparation of electricity related projects and today the whole nation is facing the result.
However, he said that the government has started work on several hydel projects like Lawi, Khan Khawar, Matlitan and Daral Khawar on war footing. The completion of these schemes will not only resolve the problem of load shedding on permanent basis, but will also create a new source of revenue generation for the province. He said that these schemes will also help provide employment opportunities to thousands of people.
The provincial minister said that he had fulfilled all electoral pledges made with electorates during election campaign, saying that record development work carried out despite unfavourable situation has no precedent in 65-year history of Pakistan. Talking about development schemes in provincial assembly constituency PK-84, he said that mega projects like construction of roads, drinking and irrigation water, health and education institutes will cost millions of rupees.
He said that other important projects include the construction of Afzal Khan Lala Post Graduate College, Matta and Play ground for the youth of Matta. He urged the delegation for maintenance of the environment of unity for establishment of permanent peace in their areas. He urged them to support government and security forces for complete elimination of terrorism and militancy from the area.
