Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that provincial government is executing a comprehensive programme of ensuring prompt and inexpensive justice to the citizens of the province. He reiterated that provision of justice to the masses is his sacred mission. He said that the police force has been extended maximum resources and facilities, it is, therefore, incumbent upon it to produce positive results.
Shahbaz Sharif warned that no impediment in provision of justice or deliberate delay in registration of cases would be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against those police officers, who will fail in their duty to provide justice to the people.
The Chief Minister expressed these views, while hearing complaints of citizens who had come from various districts, at his Tent Office, on Tuesday where Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik and concerned police officials were also present. The Chief Minister said that as provision of speedy and inexpensive justice to the people is top priority of Punjab government, therefore it is necessary for the police force to work with commitment and dedication to ensure justice to the common man in police stations.
