The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Agha Shahnawaz Babar directed all Taluka Municipal administrators to prepare their contingency plan for cleanliness in their respective areas and ensure that all the heaps of garbage, hurdles in traffic flow and encroachments of sewerage lines are removed. This he directed while presiding over meeting regarding cleanliness in the city at his residence today.
All the T.M. Administrators, Assistant Commissioners and other officers of line departments attended the meeting. The DC Hyderabad directed the officers not only to observe week for cleanliness but to prepare such strategy to perform this task on regular basis. He said that PPP government wants work visible to every one and visible cleanliness would be main justification of their job. He said heaps of garbage, abandoned building material on roads/streets not only causing health issues, interruption in traffic and sewerage flow but also creating irritation among the people.
He said that by maintaining our areas as clean we may not only provide healthy living atmosphere to the people but also reduce their health bill as well. He directed the officers to prepare their contingency plan for cleanliness and submit their report within two days. He said that the Sindh Government to extend all possible help to the local government and district administration to provide full administrative support to the officers in this task.
