Girls students again outshine over boys in Inter-examination for 2012 as Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar (Bisep) announced results here on Tuesday. The Controller of Examination, Islamuddin formally announced the results in a ceremony held here at Bisep, wherein Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary Secondary Education, Sardar Hussain Babak was Chief Guest.
On the occasion, Chairman Bisep, Dr Mohammad Shafi Afridi, principals of different inter-colleges, board staffs, parents and top position holders students were present. According to results, the female students of Jinnah College for Women, Peshawar grabbed all top positions with higher scoring marks. Muzhda Subhan, stood first, Saba Noor, secured second, while Mishal Shahab obtained third position among the students of the institute. More than 43,687 male and female students were appeared out of which 30,224 declared successful with overall 69 percentage. In pre-medical group, Muzhda Subhan got 1019 marks and stood first, Saba Noor secured 1018 marks with second, while Mishal Shahab obtained 1014 marks and got third position.
In pre-Engineering group, Saamia Rahman of Jinnah College for women, University of Peshwar, got 989 marks stood first, Mohsin Khan from Islamia College, Peshawar secured 979 marks remained second, while Saad Saud Jan of the same institute, got 976 obtained position.
Similarly, in General Science/Computer Science group, Sidra from Jinnah College for Women, University of Peshawar secured 946 marks stood first, Rimsha Shabir obtained 936 marks secured second, while Farah Iqbal from Jinnah College for Women got 930 marks and grabbed third position.
In Humanities group, Wajeeha Riaz from Jinnah College for Women, UoP got 931 marks stood first, Ramina Majid from Peshawar Model Degree College, secured 889 marks grabbed second, while Farhana from Jinnah College for Women got 886 clinched third position.
Sadam Shahzad, from Jamia Usmaniz Colony Nothia, also got first position in the theology group with securing 883 as private candidate. Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Bisep, Dr Shafi Mohammad Afridi said that they had successfully managed to announce the results with stipulated period due to hard-work and dedication of staffs, saying that reforms were being introduced to develop examination system at modern line.
He dispelled the impression that the papers marking had been carried out on non-professional people, said that there was not true about it, a well-qualified staffs were deputed to carry out checking of papers. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Sardar Hussain Babak said that the education was paramount for development and progress, saying that government was fully concentrating on promotion of female education in the province. He said the girls schools bombed to hinder our efforts and create panic among the students, but the extremists could not succeed in their nefarious designs, would promote female education at every cost.
