Loadshedding: Shahbaz attacks Zardari again

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that worst loadshedding at the time of Sehari, Aftar and Taraveeh is reflective of criminal negligence of federal government and incompetence of Zardari gang. He said that as a result of corruption, loot and plunder by the rulers of Islamabad, the people of Pakistan are facing severe energy crisis even during the sacred month of Ramazan.
He said that during the last four and a half years, Ali Baba and Forty Thieves have pushed the country into the darkness of corruption, dishonesty and greed, as a result of which instead of any improvement the loadshedding situation is worsening day by day, due to which people have become psychological patients.
He said that the masses from Peshawar to Karachi are protesting against energy crisis but the Zardari gang has become insensitive to the pain and miseries of the masses. He said that people are facing tremendous difficulties and hardships due to loadshedding. Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the factories have been closed while lakhs of people have been rendered unemployed, but the thieves and looters remain unmoved.
The Chief Minister was addressing workers and office bearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N and residents of Jallu More and adjoining areas at tent office, here Wednesday. Members of Assembly Mian Marghoob Ahmad, Rana Tanveer, Rana Tajammal, Hafiz Mian Nauman, Chaudhry Shahbaz, Commissioner Lahore Division, District Co-ordination Officer Lahore, Directors General LDA and PHA, Managing Director WASA and officers of the concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that Pakistan is brimming with the wealth of resources as it has extensive reserves of coal in Thar, abundant water, dams and 74 sugar mills where electricity can be produced from bagasse. He said that benefit can only be taken from alternative sources of energy as well, but, unfortunately, the government of thieves and looters during the last four and a half years is indulged only in corruption and loot and plunder, instead of solving the problems of the masses due to which circular debt has reached the figure of Rs 500 billion.
He said that despite corruption of billions of rupees in the form of commission and kickbacks, the rental-power projects have not become operational. He said that Zardari gang has become completely apathetic to the problems of the masses. CM Punjab said they tried their level best to bring Ali Baba and Forty Thieves on the right path, but they did not pay heed.
He said that federal government also went back on its decision of uniform loadshedding in the country made in energy conferences. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif noted that with the establishment of tent office his liaison with the general public has increased, helping a great deal in providing solution to their problems.
The Chief Minister announced that his 50 days' old protest against the highhandedness being perpetrated against Punjab in regard to unjust loadshedding would continue in future as well and the federal government will have to execute uniform loadshedding throughout the country.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab gave an unprecedented example of sincerity and sacrifice by giving eleven billion rupees of its share to other provinces in the NFC award, but no one knows why Zardari gang is taking revenge from Punjab in regard to loadshedding.
While hearing complaints of citizens, the Chief Minister ordered that the illegal occupation of Manala and Attu Ki Awan schools should immediately be removed, while he directed DIG to take strict action against the Qabza mafia. The Chief Minister also announced setting up of a committee for granting proprietary rights to the residents of Jallu More and other Kutchi Abadies and hoped that this issue would soon be resolved.
The Chief Minister also ordered the concerned authorities for establishment girls' degree college at Jallu More ensuring provision of clean water and construction of a sports complex. He further announced up-gradation of basic health unit of the area to a 20-bed hospital as well as increase in the emoluments of daily wagers of Forest Department along with construction of bus stop at Tajpura scheme within seven days.
The Chief Minister ordered suspension of former TMO for dereliction of duty with regard to solution of the problems of the masses and failure to improve the sewerage system. The Chief Minister also ordered a survey of the area and initiation of work regarding provision of potable water, streetlights, improvement of traffic system and construction and repair of roads. On the demand of the citizens, the Chief Minister ordered up-gradation of primary school up to middle level along with posting of teachers.
