27 Jul, 2012

Comprehensive proposals and suggestions are being submitted to the office-bearers of different Chambers of Commerce and Industry these days regarding new technological innovative equipment which helps in effecting fuel saving up to 25 percent on all vehicles besides being environment friendly as well. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lahore-based concern Future Technologies, Shoaib Ashfaq Qureshi, said this while talking to the BR reporter here on Thursday.
He said there was dire need for effecting as much saving in fuel consumption as possible in order to keep the oil import bill under check and on the lower side to the maximum extent. He said adoption of fuel saving measures had become necessary in view of the fact that the country was meeting more than half of its requirements through oil imports.
He said the Chambers played an important role in strengthening the national economy through their proposals and suggestions, from time to time, to the Federal and Provincial Governments.
He said the Chambers could also be quite helpful in motivating and educating the people from their forums regarding fuel saving measures and the dire need for keeping fuel consumption under control and thus played a positive role in keeping the oil imports bill under check as much as possible.
He said traders, businessmen and industrialists had to travel a lot daily in connection with their business requirements and if they gave the fuel saving gadget a fair try without compromising on the mileage involved, they could save fuel consumption in their vehicles up to an appreciable level of 25 percent.
Shoaib Qureshi maintained that the gadget had been tested by number of international organisations and they had verified the claims made by the foreign manufacturers of this equipment which was based on the Japanese technology and was being imported and marketed locally by his concern quite successfully. He said that technological innovations and developments in different fields were very useful and productive and those should be given a free and fair trial for realising maximum benefits from such products. He said besides businessmen, industrialists and traders, he would also stress upon all the motorists in the private sector of the country to adopt fuel saving measures.
