KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom, Syed Amin-ul-Haq Thursday said that the government plans to introduce 5G from December 2022 and IT exports are likely to surge to $5 billion by 2023. He was speaking at a ceremony of signing of MoU between Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) here on Thursday.

The Minister said that during COVID-19 period IT exports recorded a jump of 40 percent. Osman Nasir, Managing Director of Pakistan Software Export Board said that IT exports from the country have increased to $1.2 billion during the first seven months of current fiscal year.
