FAISALABAD: Muhammad Ajmal Kasuri, Vice Chairman All Pakistan Cotton Power Looms Association, said that it is unfair and reprehensible to impose another Rs 6.9 billion in the name of fuel aid adjustment by the government.
The government is doing everything possible to revive the IMF loan program. Under the present government, people have become unfamiliar with the word relief. He expressed these views while addressing the meeting.
Expressing grave concern over the continuous rise in electricity prices in the name of fuel aid adjustment, the meeting suggested that trade associations should formulate a protest strategy in this regard.
Mohammad Ajmal Kasuri said that the scale of patience of the people is being overwhelmed in the mill of inflation which can erupt in the form of lava at any time.
Rising price of electricity is affecting every sector. In addition, there is the burden of various taxes on electricity bills. He said that the storm of inflation that has come in recent months is also making it difficult for people to make ends meet. He said that a meeting of trade associations would be convened soon in this regard and the future strategy would be announced.-PR
