Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has issued tax calendar for payment of taxes and filing of sales tax returns by different categories of service providers including telecommunication companies. The PRA has issued details of dates of tax payments and return filing here on Thursday.
According to the information released by the PRA, the date for payment of taxes would be 15th of every month and date for filing of return would be 18th of every month except telecommunication service providers for which date will be 21st of every month. Taking into account the workload and computation involved in the filing of returns by telecommunication companies, the PRA has given them more time than other service providers for filing of returns. However, the date for payment of taxes for telecommunication companies is also 15th of every month like other service providers.
In case of post-paid telecom services, tax shall be paid on 15th and return filed on 18th of the second month following the tax period, sources added. The date for payment of taxes would be 15th of every month and date for filing of return would be 18th of every month for hotels, clubs, caterers, advertisements on TV & radio including Cable TV, customs agents, ship chandlers, stevedores, insurance and re-insurance, banking companies, custom agents, ship chandlers, stevedores, Non-Banking Financial Institutions, stock brokers, shipping agents and courier services.
