'Dictatorial thinking' of Shahbaz led to exit of Khosa: Riaz

03 Aug, 2012

Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz said on Thursday that the dictatorial thinking of Chief Minister Punjab has led departure of Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa from the PML-N. He was commenting on sudden resignation of Senior Minister in Punjab assembly Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa from the PML-N. The political circles are yet calculating the motive behind the move and are unable to understand why Khosa has taken such an extreme step of his political career.
It may be noted that his son and former Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Dost Mohammad Khosa is facing criminal proceedings over the disappearance of his wife and showbiz star Sapna. The Punjab government has not influenced the proceedings against Dost Khosa, one obvious reason behind the rift between the Khosas and Sharifs. It is also worth noting that Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa has also served as Governor Punjab during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He is also supposed to be a key member of the PML-N. There were strong rumours that Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa is keen to join the PPP. Raja Riaz said he congratulates Sardar Khosa for staying upright and his departure is last nail in the PML-N coffin.
