Duration of loadshedding has reduced with drop in demand for power after torrential rains during last 48 hours. According to the NTDC sources, power generation was recorded at 14,191MW against a demand of 17,601MW during last 24 hours. Resultantly, power shortfall dropped to 3,410MW.
Duration of power loadshedding in Lahore and other major cities stood at 10 to 14 hours against 16 hours in smaller cities and towns. Meanwhile, power supply to KESC was yet 700MW.
