Four including two sisters injured

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Monday arrested six felons with weapons while four persons including two sisters were injured in separate encounters in the metropolis. According to police, two unidentified armed men barged into a mobile shop 'Mobile Dot Com' and opened indiscriminate gunshots on the shop owner, Shehzad, son of Siddique, over resistance.
In retaliation, Shehzad also fired multiple shots from his licensed pistol killing one of the alleged bandit. The other dacoit managed to flee from the spot before the arrival of police. SHO Clifton Asif Bajwa said they had recovered a TT pistol and a cell phone from the deceased bandit, who was later identified as Qasim Ali son of Ghulam Abbas. He said the alleged bandit hailed from Larkana. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and later moved to Edhi Morgue as nobody claimed his body.
Qauidabad police, on a tip-off, conducted raid in New Muslimabad area to nab drug peddlers. When the police party raised the dens, the alleged drug peddlers opened fire on the police party, which injured two passer-by sisters, Saba, 8, daughter of Nisar and, Hamra, 11. Both the injured were shifted to JPMC for treatment. Following the said incident, heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and detained three drug peddlers, Hazrat Umar, Niaz and Muhammad Fayaz with drugs and weapons after brief encounter.
Similarly, another encounter took place in Sohrab Goth area, wherein a Samosa vendor, Muhammad Jameel, was injured while the culprits managed to flee under the cover of heavy gunshots. Meanwhile, Pirabad police arrested three felons including Mehseebullah, Hujatullah and Kamran and recovered three pistols from their possession. Police said the detained persons were involved in street crimes. Further investigation was underway.
