Three killed in accidents

Three persons including a woman were killed in separate mishaps in different parts of the metropolis, here on Tuesday. According to police and rescue sources, an 18-year-old boy, who was studying in 10th standard, shot himself dead near his residence at Lassi Para located at Model Colony Malir.
Police said the deceased committed suicide over failure in his love affair. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and later handed over to his family. Police said the victim Muhammad Sohail Rana son of Muhammad Siddiqui had proposed a girl, living behind his residence but she refused to arrange herself in such relation that forced Sohail to shot himself with his father's licensed weapon.
In another accident, a 22-year-old woman namely Shabnam wife of Akhtar Ali lost her life while her husband sustained injuries when a speedy passenger bus knocked them from back at Mai Kolachi in the limits of Jackson police station. The driver managed to flee from the spot while the body and the injured person were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities and treatment. Police said that they had impounded the vehicle and added that the victims were the residents of Surjani Town. No case was registered till filing of this report.
Similarly, a 35-year-old man namely Saqib son of Safiq was killed when he was hit by a speedy passenger bus at Ghani Chowrangi, Shershah in the jurisdiction of SITE-B police station. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem. Police said the deceased was living in North Karachi sector 5-B/1 and at the time of accident, he was on the way to home from work.
