Taiwan stocks finished 0.13 percent higher on Tuesday, but HTC tumbled to a nearly four-year low after the smartphone maker forecast a decline in third-quarter revenue. The main TAIEX index ended up 9.13 points at 7,295.46, led by automobile and food, both of which gained more than 1.7 percent. HTC dropped by the 7-percent daily limit for a second session to its lowest level in almost four years, weighing down the electronics index by 0.14 percent.
The Taiwan dollar rose slightly to stand at T$29.940.
