Mujtaba for providing scientific education to youth

Minister for Education Punjab Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that persons who voluntarily dedicate their lives and resources for social welfare are the assets of the society and government would provide all out co-operation and assistance to such people as well as NGOs.
While addressing the participants of National Youth Assembly at an Iftar dinner here at Mayo Hospital, Rehman said that provincial government is providing free medicines, diagnostic and treatment facilities in the public sector hospitals of the province and record funds have been allocated to the health institutions for this purpose. He emphasised the need for launching a public awareness campaign regarding social welfare and philanthropists activities. "This century and the next century belong to Asia just as the last two centuries belong to the West. To take part in this march we have to get our people ready, nearly 70 percent of our people are under-educated or illiterate," he said.
