Independence Day celebration is getting underway with national spirit and zeal in the province metropolis, like other parts of the country. People from different walk of life swarm to stalls set up in different bazaars to buy national flags, stickers, buntings, badges, and other stuff.
The nation will celebrate its 66th Independence Day on 14 August (Tuesday) and will pay homage to national heroes and leaders who rendered their live for cause of independence and sovereign Pakistan state. Showing their national spirit, people belonging to different walk of life, including men, women, children and aged crowded shops and markets in Qissa Khawani and Liaqat Bazaars to buy national flags, stickers, badges and portrait of national heroes. To celebrate the day with national zeal, people are busy in decorating houses, buildings, markets, shops and vehicles with national flags, stickers and fancy lights to express their love with their homeland. Similarly cars, rickshaws, motorcycle and busses are also being decorated with national flags and stickers, showing the national spirit.
The traders also hoisted national flags and decorated their shops to celebrate the Independence Day with national spirit and zeal. A number of stalls have been set up by shopkeepers in historic Qissa Khawani and Liaqat Bazaar, where different variety of stuffs of decoration, like stickers, badges, buntings, national flags, banners, and pictures were put and displayed at colourful stalls, which were attracting the buyers, specially children. They are very much enthusiastic and are busy collecting stickers, badges, beautifying their bicycles with special stickers inscribed with messages of Independence Day. Government buildings are also being decorated with illumination, buntings and national flags.
