All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has urged the federal and provincial governments to take measures to ensure the protection of minorities and law and order in the country. In a statement issued here on Sunday from the Central Secretariat of the party, Central Information Secretary of the APML Asia Ishaq said that both the governments should make arrangements for the safe return of the Hindu pilgrims who migrated to India for their pilgrimage.
She said that in the tenure of the General Pervez Musharraf (r), the rights of the monitories living in the country were quite protected and ensured.
Minorities' quota in assemblies and employments was raised in the regime of Pervez Musharraf. She said that the government should make it sure that all the migrated Hindu Yataries could return safely to Pakistan. Otherwise, it would bring a stigma for the country in the world. She vowed to make efforts for the rights of the all minorities including Hindus and said that Hindus community had a big contribution in the economic activities of the country and the government should take notice of problems faced by the minorities in Sindh and the whole country.
