Two gunned down in Karachi

At least two people including an activist of Sunni Tahreek were gunned down in separate incidents in the city on Sunday. In fist incident, an activist of the Sunni Tehreek was shot dead by unknown armed men in the limits of New Karachi police station. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Arif, 29, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Eidgah Colony.
Police said that the unidentified armed men shot dead Arif when he was on the way to home from Surjani area. He received multiple bullet injuries. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
A body of a young man stuffed in gunny bag was found from Ilyas Goth in Korangi area falling in the limits of Ibrahim Hyderi police station. Police said the deceased gunned down by unknown armed men after kidnapping.
He was identified as Sajid Khan, son of Sabir Khan. Meanwhile Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) including Rangers and police on Sunday detained at least 50 suspects in targeted operation in Pak Colony, Jahanabad, Lashari Mohalla, Magsi Mohalla and Baloch Mohalla. They were shifted to undisclosed location.
