Three injured Grenade hurled at shop for refusal to pay extortion

At least three people were injured when unidentified men riding a motorcycle hurled a 'hand grenade' at a timber shop in timber market near UP More in North Karachi area. The injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Following the incident, heavy contingent of Rangers and police reached the site and cordoned off the area.
Police said that it was not clear whether the culprits threw hand grenade or any other explosive material, adding that that they were waiting for the BDS findings. Sources said the shop came under attacked after the owner of the shop refused to pay extortion money.
