ISLAMABAD: The country reported 3,747 new coronavirus cases including 61 more deaths on Sunday as there is no let up in Covid-19 cases despite all precautionary measure to contain the fourth wave of the pandemic.
According to the latest statistics issued National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Covid-19 claimed 61 more lives during the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide death tally from the virus to 26,175 from August 7 to September 5, 2021.
As many as 3,747 people tested positive for the virus after 57,908 COVID-19 tests were taken, according to NCOC data, bringing the positivity rate to 6.47%.
The NCOC said that total confirmed cases of Covid-19 all over the country are 1.18 million including 32718 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 32374 in Balochistan, 10039 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 100758 in Islamabad, 164732 in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, 401373 in Punjab and 437311 in Sindh from August 7 to September 5, 2021.
There are 92249 total active cases, 26175 deaths and 1060881 recoveries across the country.
Total deaths are 706 and 29655 recoveries in AJK, 340 deaths and 31540 recoveries in Balochistan, 175 deaths and 9469 recoveries in Gilgit-Baltistan, 873 deaths and 93622 recoveries in Islamabad, 5097 deaths and 151406 recoveries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 12039 deaths and 363541 recoveries in Punjab and 6955 deaths and 381648 recoveries in Sindh forms August 7, to September 5, 2021.
