Independence Day celebrated in befitting manner

The 66th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with due exuberance, national spirit and pomp and show throughout the Southern Punjab on Tuesday. Pakistan Muslim League-N Multan city and District, PML-Q, All Pakistan Muslim League, Pakistan Patriot Forum (PPF), PTI and local NGOs organised the meeting to highlight the Heroes of Pakistan Movement.
Sheikh Tariq Rashid, MNA; Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan MNA; Shaheen Shafiq, MNA; Bilal Butt Advocate and others underlined the triumph of those politicians, who under the guidance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah made tireless efforts to create a separate homeland for the Muslims liberating them from the repression and yoke of slavery of the British.
Men, women and children throughout Pakistan celebrate Independence Day to pay their respect to those patriotic leaders because of whom this nation is breathing an air of freedom. On this day, people from all religions come together as one and celebrate this important moment of their history. Pakistan's appearance on the map of the world is such a great achievement for which our great Quaid would be remembered forever in the hearts of all communities of Pakistan. The Day also celebrated by the Pakistanis living in US, Middle East, UK and other European countries.
PPF cut the Independence Day cake at midnight. The ceremony was attended by its central President Niaz Gul Nasir, Secretary General Faisal Kareem Sheikh. After Fajr prayers, special Duas were offered for long life of the country, its development and progress as well as prosperity of the nation. Flags also hoisted at the houses, and public and private transport. The current is the third Independence Day falling in Ramazan.
