Bhootani urges steps to steer Balochistan out of crisis

Speaker Balochistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhootani has emphasised the need to take concreted measures to steer Balochistan province out of crisis. He was addressing a gathering in the provincial assembly premises here on Tuesday on the occasion of National Flag hoisting ceremony.
"There is need to remove our shortcomings and improve our performance if we are serious to strengthen the democracy," he said, adding, every citizen has right to be provided an environment where he or she could feel him or her free and safe. He said stability and national harmony urged us to ensure social justice, equality between nationalities, protection and safety to minorities and smooth flourishing of democratic values.
He added that national harmony could strengthen our country's defence. He said that presently country has been facing internal and external challenges which need national harmony and brotherhood. The Speaker said credit went to the incumbent government for taking practical steps for removing sense of deprivation among people of Balochistan.
Balochistan which resulted in increased share of the province in 7th National Finance Commission Award, progress in obtaining provincial autonomy through 18th Amendment into the Constitution, implementation of Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package, the recognition of control of the provincial governments on Gwadar deep sea port and Rekodeq gold and copper projects.
