All institutions must work for democracy: Khosa

Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa here on Tuesday said that all the institutions including judiciary must play their role, while working together and in harmony for promoting democratic system that guarantees Pakistan's survival and development.
He was talking to journalists after offering Fateha and laying floral wreath at the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the Poet of the East and the Great Thinker, on the 66th Independence Day of Pakistan. Khosa said that democracy was the spirit behind the formation of Pakistan, adding, "We have to take forward the mission and vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal." He said that they would also end hatred and promote democracy, while maintaining the parliamentary values, asserting that PPP great leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, he added, had laid down even her life for the cause of democracy.
The Governor said that Pakistanis are a brave nation, which always faced all challenges and difficult time. Pakistan, he said, now faced with grave challenges of terrorism, dearness and energy crisis, however, these could be defeated provided the nation get united against these problems.
