LAHORE: Funeral prayer of the PML-N Lahore President Mohammad Pervaiz Malik MNA was offered on Tuesday and later he was laid to rest at Miani Sahib graveyard.

Among others, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, Supreme Court Judge Umar Ata Bandial, former governor Punjab Latif Khosa, Khawaja Asif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Rana Sanaullah, Rana Tanveer, Ahsan Iqbal and a large number of party activists attended the funeral.

Moreover, acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi visited the residence of the late to offer condolence.

Expressing grief with his wife Shaista Pervez Malik, his sons MNA Ali Pervez Malik, Ahmed Pervez Malik, his brother Dr Javed Akram, other family members, Elahi offered Fateha for the eternal peace of departed soul.

Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Pervaiz Malik and said the late was an amazing human being, a trusted colleague and a loyal party worker who stood by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif all his life.
