Abducted Dr Ghulam Rasool reaches home

Abducted psychiatrist Dr Ghualm Rasool has got released and reached his home on Friday night. Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan president Dr Sultan Tareen said: "We have confirmation that prominent psychiatrist affiliated with Bolan Medical College (BMC) hospital Quetta has reached his home". Family sources of Dr Ghulam Rasool also confirmed to APP that he has reached his home.
It is pertinent to mention here few days ago, unknown armed men had kidnapped Dr Ghulam Rasool on gunpoint from Brewery road Quetta. They took away the doctor to unidentified destination. PMA Balochistan chapter soon after the abduction of the psychiatrist started complete strike and closed emergency, out-patient departments and all other services in all government and private hospitals in protest.
The complete strike of doctors continued for 17 days across Balochistan province, leaving poor patients in distress while some casualties of people including women, new born babies and injured were also reported during this strike as doctors denied to provide them medical treatment in emergency and theaters of government hospitals on the pretext of that they were on strike.
