Tight security arrangements in Peshawar

Jumma-tul-Wida, last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan observed amid tight security arrangements in the provincial capital. Faithful offered prayers for the peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country and observed the day with full religious fervour and zeal.
To thwart any untoward incident on this occasion, police chalked out a comprehensive security plan. Extraordinary security measures are being taken placed. Police personnel's were deployed at all Jamia mosques and carrying out thoroughly checking of everyone before entering the worships places. All routes heading toward mosques were cordoned off by barbed wires and placed concrete blocks on main routes. Police watched on close eye on movement of suspected people and completely banned the entry of all kinds of vehicles in cantonment and surrounding areas.
After the terrorists attack on Kamra Aeronautical Complex in Attock, the security has been already put on high alert in the provincial capital. Faithful observed the day with full religious fervour and zeal. Under the comprehensive security arrangements, the number of check posts on Bara road and Sarband areas, had been raised up wherein security forces and police were deployed to carrying out search and checking suspected vehicle and people before entering to cantonment and city areas.
While keeping in view the importance of "Jamma-tul-Wida", the Ulema and religious scholars highlighted the significance of the day and the holy month of Ramazan. On the occasion, special payers were offered for solidarity, and prosperity of the country. According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police Cantonment Faisal Shehzad said that a comprehensive security measures were taken place following the terrorists attack at Kamra Aeronautical Complex in Attock.
