KARACHI: Gold prices on Wednesday continued to skyrocket on the local market, traders said.

After growing by Rs2500, the precious metal now came to stand for Rs122,200 per tola. With an increase of Rs2144, it was sold for Rs104767 per 10 grams.

On the world market, gold was quoted for $1781 an ounce. Silver also grew an inch by Rs40 to Rs1470 per told.

Similarly, it posted a rise of Rs34.28 to reach Rs1260.28 per 10 grams. The global price of silver was cited for $24 an ounce, traders said.
