Fool-proof security measures taken

Eid dul-Fitr prayers will be offered in the four thousands mosques of the provincial metropolis besides open place parks and religious places here on Monday. Lahore police have made fool proof security arrangement for the protection of life and property of the citizens.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen has directed Lahore Police to keep security level red alert on the occasion Eid-ul-Fitr. CCPO also directed all the divisional SPs to make effective security arrangements for all mosques, Imam bargahs and religious places of the city in view of current security situation. He called upon Lahore Police to create sense of protection in the hearts and minds of the citizens, so that they can perform their religious duty without any fear.
In his order, he also directed Security Branch to ensure proper checking through walkthrough gates and metal detectors during Eid congregations, along with ensuring parking of vehicles at a safe distance for which citizens' co-operation should be sought.
CCPO also directed concerned SPs to make surprise and effective checkings at important places, along with ensuring effective search and surveillance to bring criminal elements and terrorists under the ambit of law. He further noted that without willing co-operation of the people, security in Lahore cannot be ensured.
CCPO called upon citizens to inform Lahore Police, in case they observe suspicious elements or things around them, so that the culprits can be nabbed and brought before the court of law, which will help in creating sense of protection among the masses.
