Jerusalem police arrest suspects in anti-Arab attack

Jerusalem police on Sunday arrested three Jewish teens suspected of a brutal hate attack on young Palestinians, and magistrates remanded in custody another suspect detained a day ago.
"Altogether four people have been arrested,' police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP. "The latest three people to be arrested are youths between the ages of 13 and 17. They are being questioned and the investigation is continuing."
He said that the 19-year-old arrested on Saturday appeared in court on Sunday and his remand was extended. Local media said he denied taking part in the assault in the early hours of Friday on four cousins from Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem, in which 17-year-old Jamal Julani was seriously hurt.
"We were walking and suddenly maybe 50 Jews came toward us shouting 'Arabs, Arabs,'" one of the cousins, Mohammed Mujahad, who was only slightly injured, told Haaretz newspaper.
