The Federal government on Wednesday decided to increase the prices of petroleum products in the country. The new prices will be implemented after midnight of Wednesday. The government has decided to increase petroleum prices from August 23.
According to detail, petrol is increased by Rs 3 and 21 paisa per litre, High Octane Rs 4 and 85 paisa per litre, Kerosene oil Rs 3 and 52 paisa per litre and price of light diesel has been increased by Rs 3 and 19 paisa per litre. The prices after increment are: Petrol will be Rs 96.78, high octane Rs 125.01, kerosene oil Rs 96 35 and light diesel will be Rs 93.30. It has further been learnt that an increase in CNG prices by up to Rs 2.95 has also been decided.
