MANILA: The Philippine central bank said on Friday it expects the country's current account this year to post a deficit of $4 billion, or 1% of gross domestic product, revising its projection from a surplus equivalent to 0.9% of GDP.
For next year, it projected a current account deficit of $9.9 billion, or 2.3% of GDP, wider than its previous deficit forecast equivalent to 0.3% of GDP.
