ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan reconstituted the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet with the Minister for Finance and Revenue, Shaukat Tarin, in chair.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the prime minister has reconstituted the ECC with the finance minister as chairman with immediate effect.
Tarin was administered oath of federal minister on Monday by the president after becoming senator from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Previously, the finance minister on becoming adviser after expiry of his constitutional term of six months was replaced by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub as chairman of the ECC in mid-October.

The other members of the ECC included Minister for Communication, Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister for Energy, Minister for Industries and Production, Minister for Interior, Minister of Law and Justice, Minister for Maritime Affairs, Minister for National Food Security and Research, Minister for Planning and Development, Minister for Privatisation, Minister for Railways, and Minister for Water Resources.
The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Advisor on Commerce, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Governor State Bank, Chairman SECP, secretaries Commerce, Communication and Economic Affairs Division can attend the ECC meeting as special invitee.
