FBR extends payment of taxes/duties date

To facilitate the business community, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended date for payment of taxes/duty and filing of Sales Tax/Federal Excise return up to August 30, 2012 for the tax period July, 2012 for all registered persons. In this connection, the FBR has issued instructions to the field formations here on Monday.
The Board has also taken other steps to ensure error-free filing of sales tax return by the registered persons. The FBR has also issued 211 HS-Codes for services and Sales Tax & FED Exemption & Concession SROs to facilitate the business and trade for proper filing of sales tax returns. HS codes and Sales Tax & FED Exemption & Concession SROs have to be specified wherever required under the new sales tax return form. According to the FBR, following are the Sales Tax & FED Exemption & Concession SROs and their types/description required for filing of sales tax returns:
