15 suspects held; huge cache of weapons seized

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Monday claimed to have arrested some 15 suspects and recovered huge cache of weapons in separate raids at various parts of the metropolis. According to police officials, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sindh police claimed to have nabbed five felons, who were allegedly involved in several heinous crimes including extortion, target killings and street crimes in separate raids at different parts of the city.
The detained persons were identified as Noman Rasheed alias Mani, Imran alias 125, Amir Iqbal, Malik Imran alias Bomb and Adnan alias fighter. The SIU team had recovered a repeater and four pistols from their possession. SIU officials said they were nominated in over 35 cases of robberies and other crimes. Further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, North Nazimabad police have taken 10 suspects into custody during search at Kauser Niazi Colony and recovered weapons from them. These detained persons were moved to unknown place for further interrogation.
