LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Saturday has signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with Pakistan Coating Association, B2B Media (Pvt) Ltd and Pakistan Chemistry Council.

The purpose of these Memorandum of Understandings are to enhance the business opportunities and to facilitate the business community by holding exhibitions, business to business matchmaking conferences and other business related events through the time of the MOUs.

President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mian Nauman Kabir and Chairman of Pakistan Coating Association, B2B Media and Pakistan Chemistry Council Moazzam Rasheed inked the MOUs. LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan, Vice President Haris Ateeq and executive committee members were also present on the occasion.

As per MOUs, Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Pakistan Coating Association, B2B Media (Pvt) Ltd and Pakistan Chemistry Council would build a dependable, pragmatic and advantageous relationship between each other and to develop mutual relations through an increased cooperation mode among the industrialists, businessmen and entrepreneurs of respective sides.

All the parties would facilitate interaction between working of standing committees with a view to develop unified stance on common issues. They would also improve the inter-organizations interaction for trade, industry and export oriented activities.

Speaking on the occasion, LCCI President Mian Nauman Kabir said that collective efforts always yield good results. Therefore, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is paying attention to the agreements and has signed MOUs with various Chambers and trade organizations.

Mian Nauman Kabir said that the coating industry which has a major share in the paint sector should be recognized as an export-oriented industry by the government which will enhance country’s exports and will bring valuable foreign exchange in the country.

“If this industry is made part of Pakistan’s export-oriented sectors and provided incentives by the government, it exports can jump in a short time”, Mian Nauman Kabir remarked. Moazzam Rasheed said that the signing of Memorandum of Understanding with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a historic event that would go a long way.
